Kawasaki Vulcan VN800 Bobber

The Kawasaki Vulcan VN800 Bobber is my mate Pointy's bike. He rode it up from Staffordshire in late 2022 so that we can do some work on it in my unit.
The first job I did was to remove all the utter tat he'd put all over it, loads of fake barbed wire and skulls, chicken feet and all sorts. Bloody horrible.
Read on to find out what's in store for this bike...
Exhausts
When Pointy brought it up, it was fitted with the stock pipes which just aren't right for a bobber.
When I drove him back down to Staffordshire, I collected the side-exit pipes he had and brought them back to Sheffield to get them fitted.
I also fitted the bar-end mirrors he had previously bought.
Plans
We plan to strip and paint the bike US Army green and add the US Army star, a little bit like this VN800 image that I found somewhere on the internet.
We plan to adopt this colour scheme but keep the rest of the bike pretty much as it currently is, as it has the right look for what Pointy wants and I agree.
Other than the colour change, we plan to relocate the number plate to a classic, bobber-style side mount and modify the rear light a little to make it fit better with the overall style of the bike.
I think that with these planned changes made, the bike will look incredible.
Tank Pouch - bonus
When I had my Ducati Scrambler, I bought a Tripmachine leather tank pouch that is secured with built-in neodymium magnets but the contour of the Scrambler tank made it impossible to fit.
I found it in a box and instantly knew that it would fit and look superb on the VN800 Bobber alongside the leather tool roll and blanket that Pointy already had on there.
