DJI Mini 4 Pro

DJI Mini 4 Pro

Since getting the DJI Neo that I posted about here, I've been really impressed with the advancements of the technology and cameras on the DJI drones.

I have the old DJI Mavic Mini which is an excellent drone but I always find the controller to be awkward as I have to connect my iPhone to it and it seems like such a faff. It's great if I'm out and about as that doesn't bother me too much but to cary it with me and use ot on the bike just isn't for me.

Technology has moved on a lot since I got my Mavic Mini so I decided I should have a look to see if there's a new drone that I can use for moto vlog content. It needs to be really small still, so that it'll fit easily in a backpack or tank bag, it also has to have the features and ease of use to justify getting one.

I took a look at the new Mini 4 Pro with the RC 2 and was impressed by its 4K/60fps HDR capability, solid specs, and streamlined workflow. It seemed like an excellent addition to my camera kit, especially with my plans to launch a moto vlog channel on YouTube next year.

I decided to get the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2) as with this I get the excellent RC 2 and additional batteries which should reduce the pressure of having power on the move. With this I should be able to get as much sexy B-roll as I need for a day of shooting.

You can buy a mount adapter to fit to the controller and then mount it on the bike so I'll try that for some cool following shots. I'll post more about this as behind the scenes content when I get it all sorted and start using it.

I'm really looking forward to starting my moto vlog journey, I've been recording on the bike for some time now and like to review the footage but hadn't decided to share much of it, aside of a few Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
